The International Space Station (ISS) is a large spacecraft in low Earth orbit that serves as a microgravity and space environment research laboratory, where crews conduct experiments in biology, physics, astronomy, meteorology, and other scientific fields.
The ISS is a joint project between several space agencies, including NASA (United States), Roscosmos (Russia), JAXA (Japan), ESA (Europe), and CSA (Canada), and has been continuously occupied since November 2000.
